Outdoor play sculpture

About this project

A crossing between Nautilius and reptile or colorful organic sculpture, created for 3 young girls with many friends serves many purposes. It can be a shelter from the sun or the rain, where they can rest and study, learn to observe the surroundings from the top terrace or through a periscope in the beak  or to monitor newly born birds in a hidden camera nestbox mounted in the trees. Small cupboards for each are situated along the stairs in the belly space that stimulate to collect small discoveries or to store precious items. The legs have grips to climb on and under the tail there are a large swing, rings and a climbing rope to exercise and play. A slide and sliding pole make the heart beat faster when escaping from his stomach. At night the creature becomes softly luminous through many small led candles on the back and tail, also thanks to the translucency of polyester combined with led in the interior.
